Moving a Tumblr theme to WordPress

Hi guys,

I have a blog on Tumblr that I’ve designed myself by editing the HTML section within the Tumblr platform. Came to the (late) conclusion that Tumblr isn’t very SEO-friendly, so I was thinking about using WordPress instead.

Tried to look for some documentation about moving the theme, but can only find topics on how to import posts – which is useful, but not entirely for me.

Any suggestions on how I should approach this? Do I need to create stylesheets, .php files for every section of the site, or can I simply copy/override the HTML I already have on any theme?
