Moving a comment to a different category

  • Sometimes a user will post a comment in a discussion category but it is clear that the comment was intended for a different category. I would love a way to redirect/move the comment.

  • Huh?

With WordPress, comments are directly associated with Posts.

I understand that. However, sometimes a user will will make a comment, associated with one post, when it is clear their comment was intended, or related to, a different post

    Ah. Hmm.

Short of diving into the database tables directly, I don’t believe I’ve seen any other methods of moving ’em.

I generally just copy n paste the comment into its related post comment-list as a new comment, noting it was by “x.user” and admin moved. Then delete from the wrong post.

Thanks vkaryl, that is indeed my workaround, but it sure would be nice to be able to move it. Obviously, the information is captured, but for some reason all information except the post it’s realted to is displayed and editable.
