  • I can move a block INSIDE a column, but I can’t move it OUT OF that column to somewhere else. Is that correct?

    Should be possible I think.

  • Hi @moxie. It is possible to drag a block out of a Columns block in the latest WordPress. Are you running WordPress 5.2?

Hi Robert. It seems that I can do this with blocks in the left column because then I can see that small handle with dots on it, but I don’t see that when I try to move the block from within the right column to another location.

Hi @moxie. Hmm, strange! What version of WordPress are you running, and what browser and operating system are you using?

Hi Robert. I always use the latest version of WP and Firefox on Linux Mint (Ubuntu). I can’t imagine my OS has anything to do with it.

Thanks @moxie! I’ve confirmed that I am able to drag a block out of the right side of a Columns block in WordPress 5.2 on Firefox 66.

I am wondering if this is due to a plugin or theme conflict. Could you try temporarily disabling all plugins and temporarily switching to the Twenty Nineteen theme and seeing if that addresses the issue?

I just did a complete new install via Bitnami WordPress, no new themes or plugins, and I noticed I can drag a block from the right column, but ONLY if there are more than one block in that column. If that block is the only block in that column I don’t get to see the drag handles.

I´m replying again on this matter, because I still have found no solution. In the past week I worked on two sites with columns, different themes and plugins, but I’m still not able to move the content of the right column (two column block) to another place.
