Moved servers, used tarball, file permissions are messed up

  • Hi 🙂

I moved hosts and to move the blog, I just put it in a tarball and expanded that at the new host… and moved the database using mysql. Everything works like a charm and the blog works fine. Only thing is, something happened to the file permissions when I copied them over. You can hardly even notice there’s a problem, but now when I go to edit theme files through wp-admin, it says the permissions need to be changed before it can save the changes.

What would be the linux command (Ubuntu) to change all the file permissions?

Thanks so much for helping 🙂 You guys rock 🙂
