I’ve already checked the forums here for this, but I can’t find anything 🙁

I just moved my files and SQL database from an old server, to a new one. I tried to access my site and I got a 403 error. I have a host that allows me to host several sites on the same server, and my site is located at, and typing in redirects to that. (If I’m not being clear, I can re-explain). On both hosts, my site was set at 750, and on the previous host I could visit my site. On the new site, I had to set it to 755, and now it works. Is setting the main directory to 755 safe? And why did the old site work with 750?

    Thanks in advance!

most hosts use 755-folders and 644-files
    this is safe and secure

the old site worked at 750 because of server set up by host – it was configured that way

    Thanks samboll! I appreciate it.
