 * I’ve seen a lot of posts on moving your subscribers from wordpress.com to your
   new hosted site but I am having a hard time putting in that request. It’s not
   taking on the support link.

 * The .COM folks are the only ones who can do that for you. You’ll need to post

   about my wordpress.com site.

 * Yes, just post the request. You need to include both URL’s and also be sure that
   you have JetPack already installed and activated on your new self-hosted site.

 * They told me I needed to come back here because it’s not hosted by wordpress.
   com. I am using another host but it’s a WP site.

 * No, that’s an automated “supportbot” response – it automatically happens if you
   post without specifying a .COM site – wait a bit and someone (human) will reply:).
