 * hi
    i’m just setting up my wordpress site using twenty twelve. i’d like to move
   the navigation bar below the header image and i found advice in this thread [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-move-menu-below-header-image-in-twenty-twelve-theme?replies=39](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-move-menu-below-header-image-in-twenty-twelve-theme?replies=39).
   however, i don’t have a child theme as i’d like to use the custom css plugin
   instead. i tried the copy paste, as explained in the the thread, straight into
   the custom css plugin, but it didn’t change the position of the navbar. could
   anyone give me advice on how to do it using this plugin or maybe let me know
   if such alterations are even possible using these kinds of plugins. thank you
   🙂 barbara [http://www.huus57.com](http://www.huus57.com)

 * You will need to start by creating a child theme for this and then begin work
   on a custom version of header.php in your child theme.

 * thanks esmi,
    i take it such alterations can’t be done using a plug in then?

 * It can, but it’s the wrong way to go. The way Esmi’s proposing is that you’d
   move the navigation HTML below the header HTML. It’s easier this way too.
