    WordPress allows deleting a user, and moving all posts by that user to another user.

    Can this be done in wordpress.org?

    I would like to delete my current account and create a new one because of several reasons. Can my forum tickets, posts, comments etc on
    wordpress.org
    buddypress.org
    bbpress.org
    glotpress
    wpdevel
    bpdevel
    bbpdevel
    translate
    wp core trac
    bp trac
    bbp trac
    etc
    be assigned to the new account I create?

    I’m afraid not. There are reasons for that involving SVN and other things that I’m not savvy enough to explain quiet correctly, but the answer really is the same.

    You can move the wp-content directory to a different location, which essentially renames it.

    First, in your wp-config.php file, add this:

    define( ‘WP_CONTENT_DIR’, $_SERVER[‘DOCUMENT_ROOT’] . ‘/folder/path/to/new/dir’ );

    And second, also in wp-config.php, add this:

    define( ‘WP_CONTENT_URL’, ‘http://yoursite.com/folder/path/to/new/dir’);

    You can read more about changing the wp-content dir on the Codex.

    That’s a good reply but I think the user meant here on WordPress.ORG and not his own installation. 😉
