Move header – Twenty Ten

  • Hi!

    Since I’m not using the title function on my website, I would like to reduce the spacing between the header (and everything underneath it) and the top of the page. Shouldn’t be too hard, but my experience with CSS is very limited.

    Here it is: link

    Thanks!

    PS: A little “bonus-question”: Since I didn’t want to use the title function, I had to find some other way of adding meta-information. So I added the title “Radikal Hvit Middelklasse – Representerer …” using some basic HTML in the index.php file:

    <head>
    <meta name=”description” content=”Radikal Hvit Middelklasse” />
    <meta name=”keywords” content=”Representerer for den norske drømmen” />
    <meta name=”author” content=”Radikal Hvit Middelklasse” />
    </head>

    Problem with this is that it shows up on every page. I just want this to be the title for the front-page. When you enter a specific post/page, I would like it to say: “Radikal Hvit Middelklasse – Post Name”.

    Once again: Thank you very much!

    @anevins

    If you add to custom styles

    #header {
    padding-top: 0;
    }

    Is this what you mean?

    spacing between the header (and everything underneath it)

    Which elements exactly?

    @alchymyth

    When you enter a specific post/page, I would like it to say

    try:

    <meta name="description" content="Radikal Hvit Middelklasse<?php if( is_single() ) { echo ' - '; the_title(); } ?>" />
