Move from root to subdirectory – links to images

I have a couple of sites where originally WordPress was installed at root level. I’m just going through those and changing my WP installation folder so that it’s in a subdirectory.

What I need to know though is whether this will then affect SEO or rather when images that are on my site appears in Google’s search results. Will they still be found or will I need to add something to the .htaccess file?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
