Sorry if this has been answered, but have been searching a long time to no avail… all the answers appear to relate to those hosting their own sites, while mine is being held prisoner on a third party site.
I don’t think I realized when I set up my blog that it would get eaten by the host community, and there’s no feature to unlink from it from within that “wp” profile. Why is that?
I want to extricate myself from this other site, (which I have no interest in participating in) and register the domain name on wp.com!
What do I have to do? I cannot seem to log in to the .com site, yet I know it’s mine. I still have the old activation key, but on their .org site I have nowhere to enter it.
Am hoping this is something that can be corrected through WP since I don’t really want to have to deal with the other party and might wait forever anyways?
