Move Existing Old Multisite But Tables Are Missing

Refering to: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Multisite

I need to move an existing, old multisite to a dev domain. Using the instructions above, and other info elsewhere, I attempt to find:

• wp_site
• wp_blogs
• wp_x_posts
• wp_x_options

But they aren’t there?

There are some very strange naming conventions included in this database, for example:

• St4aARcKwnK0wp_12_posts
• hc_connector_text

There are also multiple databases in existence. Is it possible for a WP Multisite to create/use more than one database. Note that none of these databases contain the missing tables above.
