Hi, love the plugin. Is there any way to set it so that the downloads folder is actually offsite?

Meaning, right now it is in the /home/some-name/public_html/wp-content/uploads/dlm_uploads folder. I’d like to move it to /home/some-name/non-public_html-folder/dlm_uploads instead.

Is this possible I do I need to go in and code the plugin manually?

    Hey,

If the user running the web request thread on the server has access to that location on your server, you should be able to enter an absolute path to an non-public file in your version path/URL field.

Please note that doing so will not allow you to enabled the ‘Redirect to file’ option because your file isn’t publicly accessible.

    Kind Regards,

Barry, thanks for the reply. It would be anyone coming from the Web site and they wouldn’t log in first.

I’ve tried enabling the leech protection so that people can’t just point directly to the file, but it doesn’t seem to be working. And that was why I was wondering if I would have been able to move it off the public site.

I’ll see if I can do anything else to get it working. Thanks again.
