Hi @alx359,
Unfortunately, it won’t be possible. As I’ve already tried to do it once before and it caused many issues across multiple hosting platforms and also many compatibility issues with other plugins. I’m really sorry.

Hey @isaumya , thanks for answering. Bummer.
For the the sake of curiosity, what kind of issues did you encounter? wp-cloudflare-super-page-cache
seems like an arbitrary chosen folder to contain the file cache, with no direct exposure to the outside world. Thought about it a bit and couldn’t figure out a scenario that moving it somewhere else could be a problem. Cheers.

Hi @alx359,
While implementing this I’ve encountered many issues across hosting platform and installations. In some cases hosting companies are hard setting the permission of the /cache/
folder, so we cannot perform our tasks properly.
In some cases, there are other cache/optimization plugins, when they are being installed on the site, they are deleting everything from the /cache/
folder so that only their stuff will be there in the folder and so on…

I see, that makes sense, thanks @isaumya .
Still, as I manage my own VPS and use a selected set of plugins that write to /cache (think only Autoptimize atm), think there would be a case to be made where moving to the cache folder wouldn’t be of much concern. So hope the team would (re-)consider making this a configurable option at some future version. Cheers.

Hi @alx359,
You have to understand that as this plugin is used by many people, any changes I make, I have to consider every possible scenario. If you are concerned about backup, you can easily exclude this plugin like the cache folder from your backups.
