Move Blog from One Domain to Another

    hello, I create a blog and the url is http://www.thatguyon.com and I would like to change it to paramountpremier.com I bought paramoutpremier.com through godaddy. i am using hostgator hosting with cpanel. Can anyone tell me how I can move my existing blog that is at thatguyon.com to paramountpremier.com

    I literally just bought paramountpremier.com and have not even changed the dns nameservers yet. thank you

    i see your site not having ranking in google yet so,
    export all posts and pages from old domain .
    import all posts and pages to new domain .
    if you rank for certain keywords in google and you don’t want to loss ranking you can use 301 redirect .

    The most straight-forward way to make this change will be in your Settings->General screen within your admin page. For a single site installation you’ll see two Fields, “WordPress address (URL)” and “Site address (URL)”. Throughout your site, these are where coding will draw from and the sections you’ll need to update to the new domain.

    Once done, you’ll also need to update your domain on your hosting account at Hostgator to the new one.

    Finally, you’ll just need to point your Go Daddy domain to your Hostgator nameservers: http://x.co/Xqob
