• I’ve set up localhost on two PC-s both tested are they work fine. Let’s call them A machine and B machine. I have created a database called testdatab using wampserver

Sometimes I work on the same site on the A and B so I need a way to move the site from A to B.

So I have copied the following files from A machine to a pen drive and pasted them to B machine into the same folders.

    1. Files from C:\wamp\www

    2. testdatab folder from C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.5.16\data

With the new installation of WP I’ve tested this method it worked fine but ones I edited the site ( changed the theme, added few pages, text…etc ) and tried to move it to the other machine using the method described, I’ve got an error saying: Error establishing a database connection.

I’ve checked the wp-config.php it’s all correct basically the values are the same on both machines. I’m not sure does that matter but on one I am running Window7 on the other Windows XP.

I don’t have too much experience with database, maybe I am making a stupid mistake or it’s just not the way to do it…

Hope there is a simple solution to move Blog from localhost(A) to localhost(B)

    Any ideas ?
