Support » Fixing WordPress » .mov in Internet Explorer via enclosure tag

  • I’m experimenting with video blogging. And I know wordpress will automatically add the enclosure tag if I add a link to a .mov file. So lets say I do this. Now on my blog, there is a link to the .mov file and a link to the .mov in the enclosure tag via the feed.

HERE’s the problem… in IE, when you click on a .mov link… it seems IE wants to download the entire file first… so if it’s say 20 megs, the user might now know what’s going on or wonder if it’s downloading.

Does anyone have a way around this or have experience/suggestions in how to solve this problem?
