Motors Plugin and Pro both faulty

    I purchased the Motors Pro plugin after ‘road testing’ the plugin. But after setup as per the instructions I find that first I am unable to upload any images for both the free version and the Pro version. I have asked support from stylemix theme a week ago but no reply.

    Even I cannot see any ‘Features’ on the Add form which I can add as extra features. Either their documentation is very vague and not detailed or the software on the plugin doesn’t work.

    As per their own documentation I am advised “The list of available features can be added, removed, or modified by navigating to WP Dashboard > Listing Page Details > Features List. This allows you to customize the features displayed for each vehicle listing” But guess what there is NO Features List option under the Loan Calculor link as shown on the image in the documentation or any where else on the Listing Page Details. What a shame. This plugin is a sham and its DOES NOT WORK!!!

    So over a week has gone since I paid for the plugin but no support and I haven’t been able to make my website work. The reveiws on WordPress.org all smme ot be fake and by the plugin authors themselves. I would NOT recommend this plugin as it may look good but comes with a loat of headache.

    Since my complaint above and several tickets which I raised in my Motors Plugin account, I had a very good customer support help from Matthew Gordon, who has helped me throughout to resolve these issues.

    Many issues were to do with Elementor upgrades and some with the Motors plugin itself, but at the moment it looks good.

    I am still in the early stages of setting up my official website autobazar co uk with this plugin and will post further reviews (hopefully all good) on this blog.

    I would like to thank Matthew Gordon for taking ownership and in a very polite, prompt and knowlegable way help me understand the issues and resolve them.

    I would now like to recommend the Motors Plugin to anyone wanting to start an automobile website.

    Hi,

    I understand your frustration, but there are a few important clarifications here, because what you’re experiencing is not a broken plugin, but a mix of outdated documentation references and configuration issues.

    First, regarding image uploads:
    If images cannot be uploaded in both the free and Pro versions, this is not caused by Motors Pro itself. Motors uses the standard WordPress media uploader. When uploads are stuck or fail, the cause is almost always one of the following: server permissions, mixed-content (HTTP/HTTPS) issues, security rules (ModSecurity/WAF), or missing required listing fields that prevent the form from completing. This is why hosting-level checks are usually required for image upload issues.

    Second, regarding the “Features List”:
    You are correct that older documentation refers to Listing Page Details → Features List, but this part of the documentation is outdated. The feature management system was reworked, and features are now handled via the Listing Manager, not under Loan Calculator or Listing Page Details anymore. This is why you cannot find it where the old docs mention.

    This is where you can add, edit, and assign features to listings and make them appear on the Add Listing form.

    Regarding the PRO features, please send a request here https://support.stylemixthemes.com/tickets/new for troubleshooting issues. According to WordPress guidelines PRO features should be contacted directly via support platforms https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/
