If you do a View Source on your page, and look for “og:url”, you’ll see that you have another plugin adding some basic open graph tags as well. You should disable the open graph feature(s) of that other plugin.

Index webpages (home page, archives, etc.) are of type “website”, while singular webpages (posts and pages) are of type “article”. Article pages can include images and videos.

There is an open graph type “video.movie”, “video.tv_show”, “video.episode” and “video.other” (which includes tags for actors, director, writer, etc.). If the singular page featured a movie, or was about a movie, this would seem like an appropriate type. The best way to handle this is probably a custom post type, with custom postmeta fields for that information. NGFB Open Graph+ could then use that information to create appropriate open graph meta tags.

I’ll look into adding support for video and music types in the next version. 😉

Thanks for the help and explanation of the types.
Can’t for the life of me figure out which plugin is creating the other tags!

It’s between the WordPress SEO comment tags, so I’d say it’s probably that plugin. Thing is, NGFB Open Graph+ checks if those options are enabled in WordPress SEO, so you would have see a warning. Odd.

Here’s what the warnings look like:

Please uncheck the \’Open Graph meta data\’ Facebook option in the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin Social settings.

Please uncheck the \’Twitter Card meta data\’ Twitter option in the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin Social settings.

Please remove the \’Google Publisher Page\’ value entered in the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin Social settings.
