More than one category.php, how recognized?

  • my site http://www.maviefolle.com

I read the codex about how to create a special template for a certain category. I’ve done that, but I don’t see that that specific cat# is treated any differently in my site.

Is there another piece of code I need to use in order for the specific category to be viewed differently from the other cats?

Where would I put that code? Very confused. Thanks

  • So you named it according to the category number? I.e. category-12.php ?

An easy way to see if it’s treated differently is to have something there that stands out, like a block of colour, or an ad.
