Ok.. I need to have more than one category for stories that will have several chapters and I would like in the side bar to have..

    CLAIMING AN ALLY
    Chapter 01
    Chapter 02

    POSSESS ME
    Chapter 01
    Chapter 02

etc... but, when I make two categories in widgets and name them these two names and then post Chapter 01 for Claiming an Ally, it shows up "Claiming an Ally" instead of Chapter 01 and that post goes under both Categories. I am checking the box for he appropriate category, but still it goes under both.

What am I doing wrong here?

Please be less nondescript in explaining the steps taken (based on this text given).

when I make two categories (CLAIMING AN ALLY and POSSESS ME) in the widgets (I added a second category widget in the sidebar) and named them those two names (CLAIMING AN ALLY and POSSESS ME).

    That is in my post.

I either need to move to Washington or learn better English as I still have no clue what the issue is.

Are the categories called "Claming An Ally" and "Possess me"? If that's the case then the normal Categories widget won't do what you want. The Catgories widget lists the categories, not the posts that are associated with them. That'd be why you see the category names in both of the widgets.

As far as I know there's no standard widget that will list the posts inside each category. It might be to much for you, but it's not that hard to program your own widgets, but if you aren't much good with writing your own PHP code then it could seem pretty impossible. If you're feeling adventerous, you can have a look through the Widgets API and see what you think.

Alternatively there might be a plugin out there that can give you a widget to do this, but I haven't done any searching for one before so I can't offer much help on that front. It woudl be worth a look to see if there's anything in the plugins section.

Thanks, Catacaustic. That's what I feared. I'll take a look at those. Thanks. :)
