more-tag problems

hi,im working on my site and thought I had resolved the cut-off of blogposts on the frontpage/homepage which otherwise is ignore. I entered the global more tag just before the_content code and the posts were cut. Then there´s smaller posts,which is half the size of the first i was talking about, they, still show entire posts. maybe someone can help me?
