“More” tag not working correctly

I just installed WP 1.2 (http://whitesail.org) and am trying to use the “more” tag in an entry and instead of outputting a link with the workd “more” all I’m getting is a “,” that if you click on it, takes you to the whole entry.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
