# More Smilies Plugin

 * I wrote this plug-in because I didn’t like the default WordPress smilies, and
   thought it would be great if we could have “packages� of smilies that you
   could choose from. So here it is, a plug-in that allows you to choose between
   different sets of smilies. Hopefully there will be many people that do up some
   great smilies packages.
 * I documented everything in [the post on my site](http://mattread.com/archives/2005/04/more-smilies-plugin/),
   including how to make your own smilies packages! So all you artists get to work
   so I can have some truly great smilies. 🙂

   and insertable into comments automagically.

 * Just released Version 1.1, which cleans up the code and is more compatible with
   other plugins. Also added 3 new packages, including Orin’s 🙂

 * This is Great!!
 * But…
 * It doesn’t show anything on the Option menu, by clicking More-Smilies tab. So
   generally I can’t edit. Smilies are enabled, but the configuration page to More-
   Smilies are not shown.

 * takuya, that’s the annoying WordPress bug #902. To fix it, upload [my menu-header.php](http://mattread.com/dropbox/menu-header.phps),
   which has the patch applied, to your `/wp-admin/` directory overwritting the 
   current one.
 * **Only do this if you have 1.5 strayhorn, and NOT one of the nightly releases**.
