More public data on $fmc_special_page_caught

    I’m working for one of your clients, improving SEO on his property details page, and we need better access to the property information, so we can populate some SEO and social tags.

    We can now get the post-title, page-title and page-url from your $fmc_special_page_caught variable, that you set on the flexmlsConnectPageListingDetails class, but we need more data that is only available on $fmc_special_page_caught['fmc-page']->listing_data which is a private property, that we cannot access.

    Ideally, you would turn $listing_data public on listing-details.php line 5, and we would be able to access any property details fields, but if you see any inconvenient on making this change, we would need, at least, the following fields to be made public (just like you did for the title and url on lines 46 and 47):

    • StandardFields – PublicRemarks
    • Photos – 0 – ResourceUri – Uri1280

    So essentially, Marco is attempting to correct the issue that is seriously causing a deficiency with the plugin. As of right now, if you attempt to share any listing (via your own website), the OG:Title, URL and Image are garbage and as REALTORS® it is Extremely important for us to be able to share listings to generate traffic to our site. I’ve exchanged several emails about this in the past with no solution on the horizon, this would correct our issue and make the FlexMLS Plugin function effectively and make it a ton more desirable. Without the ability to share listings directly to our social media (without going through the portal) the FlexMLS becomes obsolete and I (among many others) would seek out another IDX Solution. I urge you to consider Marco’s solution.

    I apologize for the delay. I’ve been out of the office for the past week.
    We are currently working on version 4, which will address this problem. We’re hoping to have that update out within the next month or two here. We have a lot of improvements coming with this update which we will be releasing soon.
