more permalink options

  • There is a meta command out there that tells google to search all pages in the directory. Can’t seem to find it though, I was looking yesterday for somebody else.

    ah that would be cool.
what i was getting at is that google won’t index pages with query strings, eg index.php?id=7&post=8 (which is what wordpress produces)
however if you set up the permalinks like index.php/7/8/ would this trick google into thinking they are actual directories and files, and index the page?

I know this is a really old thread, but since it fits my subject I’ll post my reply here.

Would it be possible to add so that I could configure permalink addresses separately for posts and pages.

For example I need pages that remain in same location all the time so I use just /%postname%/, but at the same time I wouldn’t want to use just /%postname%/ for my blog posts.

    Thanks.

You would do FAR better to start your own thread.
