[resolved] more icons in a row (2 posts)

Often I need to offer visitors the same file in different formats (say pdf and doc). Would be nice if this is supported in "descriptions=true" version, that both icons could be next to each other in first column.

And of course, thank you for http://wordpress.org/support/topic/multiple-galleries-on-one-page-1?replies=4 if it comes to standard install.

    Hi peekaa,

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I don't see this option being directly supported since it would have the potential to cause serious slowdowns with the algorithm used to generate the gallery.

That said, since descriptions support the use of HTML, you could achieve a similar result by simply including image-link combinations to your alternative document formats within the description.

With the development version mentioned in the post you mentioned, you can actually start using it now if you like (just unzip it and manually replace your current version of the plugin with it). It should be fully functional now, I just haven't had time to test for any bugs that might still be lurking and write up the documentation.

The format to use that version is the same as the current, except that if the ids attribute is included then it will not automatically pull all attached documents from a post. All of the attributes documented will work alongside ids, except the order and orderby.

An example usage would be this: [dg ids=3,51,3,700] (note that the ids have commas and no spaces).

Hope that helps and please feel free to bring any other suggestions you may have in the future.
