Hi, firstly I love Wordfence. It’s the plugin that always goes on sites I develop first and larger sites always get the Wordfence Pro treatment.

    Suggestion 1
I have a suggestion though on the Wordfence Firewall country blocking. At the moment you have the option to completely block access, or block access to the admin area. Bother are great options, but what if you want to block access to some countries completely and other countries allow access but not to admin?

This would help when you get attacked from certain countries in particular. For example I do work for a client that has a particular person in a country that really wants to bring them down. They do no business in that country, yet because I have admin access restricted, I can’t block that country completely

    Suggestion 2
I’d really love to be able to access Wordfence firewall logs somewhere so that I can look for patterns and see older traffic. At the moment I can’t find that anywhere so have to use the live traffic options. Can you document how to get to those logs, or even better provide an export option.

    Suggestion 3
I have clients that were getting attacked repeatedly on different sites from the same IP addresses. The IP’s were on AWS so I reported the the email address in their whois entry in Wordfence. I then had to provide a bunch of other info which I essentially had to screenshot from Wordfence (as I couldn’t find logs – see above). The servers then got shut down by AWS. However it strikes me that the information required was quite painful to get to, but you would know exactly what information they would need from logs. It would be a great feature if you could add a “report” button that automatically generate an email with the required content (access logs, details why it was blocked in the firewall etc) and drops it into our standard email program to be sent.

    Hope these are useful suggestions.

    Thanks

Hi @funkygorilla, thanks for your kind words and detailed suggestions!

As you may have seen from other topics, I can never promise delivery or timescales here on the forums but we appreciate feature ideas/requests from our customers in order to continually improve what we offer. This has been forwarded on to the development team for consideration and further discussion.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
