# monitoring users

 * I am researching WordPress to use for an organization. I would like to approve
   people who may comment on our posts. I read that I can create “registered users,”
   but the link on the Codex page indicated the information may be obsolete. Another
   page mentions “collaborators,” but that doesn’t seem to be the same thing. So,
   is it possible to create a situation where readers would have to be pre-approved
   to comment on posts, perhaps, via password?

 * Admin/Settings/Discussion. Tick “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”
   then save your changes.
