Hey guys, so i have been looking through the forums but cant find what i am looking for.

Using the admin desktop i have enabled Avatars from Gravatar. Great awesome. set it for only G rated pictures. One problem is is that the users select their own grade when setting it up with Gravater.

My question is, well a few, one does Gravatar actually check the images to make sure they are G rated?

and secondly if they do not, how can i monitor these before they are shown up with a comment post. Basic solutions is to set is up so i have to approve an avatar for individual users, or an email generated saying so and so has a new avatar, or even when i receive an email stating there is a new comment, that it includes the picture of the avatar.

any help would be awesome. I can make changes to the php files if needed.

    esmi,

I have seen and read those. but it states

“If your avatar is rated as too explicit (you get to set the rating yourself) it will not be shown on sites that do not support that particular rating.”

so basically saying that the user sets it to what they want it. So lets say it is an explicit picture, and they set it to G status. there is nothing to prevent it from being displayed on my blog

Computers cannot “rate” images – only humans can.

i know that, Thats why im asking if there is an alternative solution.

say for instance i have it set up so when a comment is posted, i receive an email. Would there be a way to include the avatar picture in this email.

or even create another option to send a notification when an avatar has been set up for a user, or when said avatar is changed

Would there be a way to include the avatar picture in this email.

Not that I’m aware of but you could try looking for some sort of HTML email comment notification plugin.

or even create another option to send a notification when an avatar has been set up for a user, or when said avatar is changed

I’m pretty sure that’s not possible.

hmmm ok.. i appreciate your input on this subject. One last question, do you know where in the WP files would be the file that generates the email notification for when a comment is posted?

Sorry no but I’d start by looking in wp-includes/comments.php and work from there.
