My current cms allows me to write a news article ‘lead in’ that shows up on the homepage, and also a ‘read-more’ which shows up when you click the read more button.
This allows me to template my articles separately for my homepage and read more page.
This is done by having 2 separate input boxes when actually typing out my article. 1 is for the lead in and the second is for the main article itself. Both allow html code so that I can have templates wrapping around my articles which makes the site look great. I do this because I use a header graphic on all my articles. The lead-in is only 200pix wide, where the main article is 600pix wide. Obviously without a ‘lead-in’ capability if I were to use my 600pix wide header graphic, the homepage would look weird, and I could not fit as many articles on the homepage.
does such functionality exist already in wordpress, or is there a plugin specifically designed for this?
I did look through all the plugins I could find and didn’t find one, so I am not asking without first having done what I can.
thanks for any help
