# Modifying the Author Role

 * How would I modify what the author role sees under add new post? There are several
   things that are built into our theme and many things that are not necessary for
   the author role to see. Is there a way I can modify what is displayed again under
   add new post for the author role?

 * I have tried this method and it is not working for me. Is there another alternative
   that is easier with modifying what the author role sees when they login under
   new posts?

 * Under the Authors role I am wanting to take off fields that are currently present
   that I do not need the authors to use. Hope that makes sense. Is there a plugin
   that could do the trick?

 * Without knowing which field you want to hide it is kind of hard to recommend 
   a plugin…but, you can try a plugin called members. I hope this helps.
