Modified Kubrick/functions.php

  • I just deleted functions.php. The weird thing is, it doesn’t seem to matter even though when I first got wordpress I only modified Kubrick to make my own theme. How does that work?

I’m trying to use the plugin Reading Now but I can only install the widgets with Kubrick — if I don’t need functions.php, does that mean my theme is too modified to use widgets?

  • which functions.php did you delete? There is one in the admin area, and the name functions.php is also used in theme folders for theme-specific functions.

If you delete functions.php in a theme folder for a theme you have disabled, of course there will be no problem — is this what you did?
