  • I am getting an email about modified files.

I look and it tells me there are no modified files.

I run a manual check, it tells me there are modified files.
I click the button to view the modified files, it tells me there are none.

I log in via ftp to look at the files.
The files that have been changed are the cache file, and the backup file.

Maybe the plug knows these are ok to change.
But if that is the case why email me? OR give other confusing messages?

I’ll now assume the emails signal is faulty, probably just cache or backup, which kind of undoes its usefulness.

When you do a manual scan, does the plugin tell you that there are file changes detected every time or does this happen intermittently?

Can you please try 3 or 4 manual scans as a test?

OK, done it 4 times. It is every time.
When I look via FTP, files have changed – cache and backup. (Not in between my trying it 4 times however).
