    Alex,

Looks like you provide outstanding support on the forum here, thank you ahead of time for that.

I’ve installed and am using Facebook Comments, placed on page using:

    <?php echo do_shortcode('[fbcomments]');?>

The app ID is set in the plugin, and everything appears to be working ok on page. Comments appear, the section to enter a comment is there.

But I don’t have the moderation feature available. I’m signed in to my facebook account, I can go to the facebook moderation page and moderate on facebook, but I would much rather have moderation available in the forum.

Just to try this, I did enter my fb profile ID into the ‘moderators’ section, that did not change anything.

Any thoughts on why I don’t have moderator capabilities?

    Chris

  • You need to add yourself as a moderator to the app itself

    Hi Alex,

I am the app admin, and I’ve added myself as the moderator in the ‘settings’ on https://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments/ and tried various combination my fb id and numberic id (and leaving it blank) in the plugin’s “
    Facebook App ID” section.

    Still no moderator view…

    What am I overlooking?

    Chris

    I have thesame problem :/
Have 2 comments on my page (comments have been added by me) but on moderator view there are no comments.

Not exactly the same problem 🙂

I don’t get the ‘moderator’ link at all,

    Chris

Do you see a settings link in the top right of the comments box when viewing them within the website?

    @christopheran that means you’re not a moderator

@christopheran sorry for interrupting. I thought your problem was solved, but maybe Alex can help us both.

Alex: In my case everything was great, after installing a new plugin I went
Facebook Comments > Setting and then:
    Create a New App
Copy JavaScript SDK right after the opening <body> tag

Main settings > add App ID
    Change language and save.

    and voila! 🙂

Next I addes 2 test comments and when i go to Moderation > Comment Moderation Area there were no comments which is fault because i added two new ones from another facebook accounts. Also language didn’t change.

In App setting I’m a moderator and language is changed. I also add new moderator but he

    What do you suggest Alex?

Oh, ok, I have some new posts online now and I am getting the moderator options on those.

Posts published when I was using Fat Panda Facebook Commenting plugin do not have the moderation options on them anymore (they used too).

So I guess that the plugins do something differently when it comes to moderation and that posts published under the other one I won’t be able to moderate on page.

Can you both show me links to where this is happening? Thanks

Ugh, I’m sorry Alex, I thought that was the case, but I was wrong, as I go back in time I find I can moderate some, but not others.

So for example I can moderate here:

    http://n4s.us/39609

    but not here:

    http://n4s.us/16379

But some others around that same time frame I can moderate. So I’m not sure what’s going on…

This is very odd as the code is correct on both pages. I advise contacting FB support if this continues.

Ok, thanks for taking a look Alex.
