Moderating user post

    Hi there- I was looking around the sites, for a way to moderate the posting of peeps so that it had to be approved for certain levels- like level one posters had to get approval from higher lever authors for the articles to show. Is there anything like that for wp?
    I know there is for comments – how do we moderate authors?

    Currently, anyone with author permission is allowed to post any article in any category. Only users with level 4 or greater are allowed to edit timestamps. This value is hard-coded into post.php.

    exactly- what can we do about getting some kinda moderation for users posting articles that definetly need approval before they post i/e kids posting bogus articles.

    Not much you can do about it right now, short of hacking the code. The best you might be able to do right now is write a plugin that automatically sets the post status to “DRAFT” when a restricted author posts.

    ~has anyone taken a gander at this recently? We can moderate the comments- should be able to do the same for authors~

    not exactly, but close- a hack would do if it could just set the post status to draft, for level 1 authors and put the article on some kind of “awaiting admin approval” que.
