 * Hello. I add role to approve comments for authors. I chose **moderate_comments**
   option for this. Look at please;

 * If user can edit post he should be capable to approve comments to that post via‘
   Comments’ menu at admin back-end

 * Check if some other plugin blocks this feature. Try to deactivate all plugins
   and test.
