    Hi,

I’m looking for how to add products corresponding to a brand and a model?

    example: Iphone x

I would like the brand to be classified to be able to display and then better filter these products

    same example:
    – smarphone brand
    – Apple
    -Iphone
    -Iphone x

which allows to select a brand and then a model of this brand.

how to proceed ? how to do ?

    thank you in advance

    Hi @jawas

I’m not sure if I am clear on exactly what you are wanting to accomplish here.

Can you please explain further, are you trying to allow your customers to:

    a) search for products that match the Brand/ Model of phone
    OR
    b) do you want them to be able to select these options directly on the product page?

If you want option a, you’ll want to create categories and tags for your products.
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/

If you want option b, it sounds like using a variable product would be the route to go.

Thanks for support, option this option A
But I didn’t quite understand how to do that, from what I understand it’s with attributes,

So if I understood create a Brand attribute of Smartphones
    – place in sub-attributes of “smartphone brand” all brands.
Then create another model attributes of smartphones
    – place all smartphone models in sub-attributes. And under categories of models.

    Is that it?

    thank you in advance

Hi @jawas. My colleague was referring to using categories and tags rather than attributes. You could create a product category called Apple, for example, with subcategories for iPhone X, iPhone SE, etc. – https://d.pr/i/s0kZsV

Then when customers come to your store, they can select from the categories, which you can add to your store to the sidebar using a widget, for example.

In this case, you couldn’t use attributes because it’s not possible to create sub-attributes.

Alternatively, you can use an extension like WooCommerce Brands which lets you add names and descriptions for brands, and assign them to products – https://woocommerce.com/products/brands
