mod_rewrite loaded, still asks for server connection information?

  • I’m working on an upgrade, and had to do it manually because the auto-upgrade wouldn’t allow a file to be created. Once I upgraded, I attempted to upgrade plugins, and again -it’s asking me for connection information. I put the connection information in, and the plugin cannot auto upgrade as it can’t write to the files.

I checked file permissions, they are 755. I’ve changed them to 777 just to see if it would make a difference, but it didn’t.

I’ve checked using phpinfo.php in the root directory and it does indicate that mod_rewrite is loaded, but it is obviously not working. What am I missing?
