    Greetings Tobias,

First and far most brilliant plugin, thank you.

I am using the premium responsive=scroll /] tag which really helps on mobile devices while using jetpack mobile site setting.

I wish in the future you had a feature where it would maybe break the tables in a way to show maybe instead of 4 columns, it would simply show 2 columns, then below them 2 more columns, that way no need to scroll, which is by now the best option for this plugin.

another thing is even for scroll bar users on movile, any chance of adding maybe an indicator to show that you can scroll to the right or so? a lot of people miss the little scroll bar.

another suggestion, is there any future plans to add some kind of pricing type tables or so? maybe that could be incorporate such an addon as above.

I will be making a small donation in the future when I decide to use it on my live site!

    Thanks again! 🙂

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

Yes, such a “break into multiple chunks of columns” would be nice, but unfortunately, I don’t see how this can be implemented 🙁 Regular HTML tables are just too limited here. All solutions that I have seen that do this don’t actually use tables, but other HTML elements.

An indicator for the scrolling would also be nice, but as there’s no fool-proof way to be sure that scrolling is currently necessary, on a given page visit, I have not added such an option.
It might be the best to leave this to the site owner, as they should know best if a large/wide table is displayed. They could then maybe add a small text above or below the table to notify the user about the possibility of scrolling.

As for pricing tables: I don’t think that specializing on certain types of tables makes sense for TablePress. I’d rather keep it as a general as it is now.

    Regards,
    Tobias
