Support » Plugin: W3 Total Cache » Mobile/Desktop Theme Switcher sometimes fails

  • Hi all,

I have a problem similar to this one:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/w3-shows-mobile-version-on-desktop

On my website, I have configured the W3-default-useragent-group 1 for “High Priority” and chosen the “Theme switcher” option.
Most of the time it works, meaning if I visit the website on my mobile phone, the correct theme is rendered. I have checked the cache-directory, and there are 2 different HTML-files (for the different priorities) for each page which seems correct.

However, sometimes when I visit the site on a mobile, the desktop-theme is shown. The HTML-files (still 2) then look the same, meaning that the wrong file has been generated for the user agent group. (and this is the point where I don’t understand how this is possible)

This has been tested with iPhone 5 + 6, Samsung and Sony phones as well as Google Chrome emulator.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    WP 4.1.8 / W3TC 0.9.4.1
