So, after massive CSS editing, and doing what I like, I finally, got my page up and running. I tested it on multiple computers and browsers. Also tested it on 3 different mobile devices and using two browsers. All of a sudden, I get a new optimized mobile version that basically disrupt what I want shown. The strange thing is, when I hit switch to desktop, it will show the mobile version that it used to show. I reached out to the template’s support and they want to charge me a fee. Oh, and the website is http://www.ultratech.info Here is a screenshot from different devices: http://imgur.com/a/Wbvao

The thing is, after I was done, I checked on many different devices to make sure. Then all of a sudden, I get this. I can try to revert back. I’ll do a backup tonight. The thing is, what CSS was cause to change COMPLETELY? I mean I don’t even have my icons that I am using, it’s using COMPLETELY different icons. I’m not concerned about the sizing, but more over the COMPLETE overhaul. It’s like a completely different website. when I use something like: http://mobiletest.me/iphone_5_emulator/?u=https://ultratech.info – it displays it exactly how it should as a mobile site. It just does not add up.

Also, here is the support team’s response:

Responsiveness means particular blocks are changing their position in accordance with device width. If you wish to turn off responsiveness and display website constantly as desktop version it would require major customization and can be performed for additoinal fee only.

  • Looks like you’ve got the Jetpack mobile theme activated. You can turn it off by going to Dashboard > Appearance > Jetpack > Settings > “Optimize your site for smartphones”.

THANK YOU!!! I’ve been googling forever trying to figure this out. I knew a massive CSS overhaul would not be the answer. I guess I didn’t think about Jetpack..trying it now.

EDIT: I tried it on 3 different type of devices, and it worked. Thank you so much.
