  • I have a theme I’m running for a client that has a lot of shortcodes built into it to do various functionality. I have a mobile theme I would like to use, but because of the shortcodes, I can’t simply have the mobile theme access the same pages and menu for the mobile version.

What is the best way for me to set up the mobile theme along side the regular theme? I believe I can set up multi-site, but how do I get the mobile devices to recognize the additional mobile theme instead of the default theme?

Any help or a point in the right direction to some tutorials or codex would be great, as I haven’t found anything yet in my searching.

    thanks!

I bought a mobile theme from themeforest.

I just need to understand how to set up the mobile theme with a different site than the regular theme, and then have the mobile theme be displayed only when someone with a mobile device views the site.

I’m figuring I can use the multi site functionality, but I don’t know what to do to make the mobile site appear only when a person visits the site with a mobile phone. I have WP Mobile Detector installed, but that doesn’t allow me to have 2 active themes. So I’m trying to figure out how to do that.

    Any ideas?
