  • I am having the issue that causes the mobile theme to appear on the desktop on my website http://www.invurt.com

I am using both WTC Total cache as well as google Page Speed Service as my CDN.

I have done the following to try to fix this as per previous instructions:
    – Added all the User agents to both WPTouch as well as to cache, minify and CDN on WTC
    – disabled WPTouch
    – Deleted WTC cache (all)
    – Deleted all local cache
    – Flushed GPSS cache

I am still getting the mobile theme on the desktop, not matter what I try to do with this. Testing on my Galaxy Note 3 – even if I hit “Desktop” down the bottom of the page it still then gives me the mobile theme.

can you please let me know what other steps I can take to fix this? Its no good having the mobile theme on my main website for the desktop!

  • If you have a caching plug in that may be your problem. I was using on on my site and i would either not get the mobile or if i refreshed my cache i’d sometimes ONLY get mobile on both desktop and all device sizes. I don’t know what the solution for you will be but i disabled the cache plugin ( was using gateor) and now it seems to work fine.

As I stated above, I am using Total Cache – disabling this is not an option as it is a high traffic website and caching is required.

Its starting to get a bit ridiculous – it suddenly switched back to the regular desktop theme without warning a few hours after I posted this, now, tonight, it has all of a sudden reverted back to the mobile theme on desktop. I have done all of the above processes and worked with all the fixes that have been posted in other areas, and yet it is switching back to the mobile theme again? It looks terrible on a desktop and it is impacting my site.

Even disabling it does not help – it still either remains or switches back and forth, Im starting to wish that I had never actually installed it, if it has this many problems.

Can someone give me some more feedback please, as to what else I can try to fix this issue other than what I have already tried?

Wow it was great to get such useful feedback on this!

I disabled the plugin, I doubt I will be using it again, as it is so bug ridden.

I am also having the same problem on my website http://rambansal.in with use WP Mobile Plugin. On deactivating this plugin, the site appears well with the desktop theme on the desktop. But as soon as WP Mobile Plugin is activated, desktop theme disappears and mobile theme reappears on the desktop.

Please help me if some can..

I’m having the same issue: desktop on mobile, mobile on desktop.
    WPTouch and ZenCache (before QuickCache).
There’s an advice to put a list of user agents.
    http://www.wptouch.com/support/knowledgebase/default-mobile-device-user-agents/#cacheuas
I don’t understand what to put where and what code, beacause an example of code is way different from the list on the url above.
Isn’t is easier if ZenCache puts it in the core so no one has an issue here?
    Thanks in advance.
