Support » Fixing WordPress » Mobile Site Not Loading Properly

  • I am having issues with my blog loading probably on mobile.

I already tried deleting the cache and deactivating/reactivating my plugs but this didn’t help.

I thought that it may have been a problem with my old theme (Olsen) so I switched it to Blossom Fashion, but that this not resolve the problem.

If someone could offer some suggestions to help me resolve this issue I would really appreciate it!

    Kind regards,
    Cheryl

I think you may be having bigger problems.

I get this error when loading your site:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://aneclecticlady.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://sswim.ru/’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

You may have been hacked. Do you recognize that URL?

Note: Moved from “developing wordpress” to “fixing wordpress” as this is not a development/coding topic.

    Hi Steven,

Thank you for responding and my apologies for posting in the wrong topic area.

Wow!! No I don’t recognize that url. My site was hacked over a year ago and it has been fixed and secured (or so I thought). I am not getting any error codes on my end and people are still able to view my blog. It’s just not very “pretty” on the mobile end.

I’m assuming that there’s a possibility of some kind of glitch/hack that causing the mobile site to show up this way? I’m not very tech savvy when it come to these things…sorry!

Should I have my web host look into this?

    Kind regards,
    Cheryl

Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

Your site wasn’t cleaned and secured if you had that inside your theme. It may have a hidden snippet on one of the files and it lies in wait to execute. I’m not sure who cleaned it for you but if they didn’t run a Grep they probably don’t know what they’re doing.

A security consultant like me would shell in and run grep commands to find all snippets of malicious code, erase them and then close all backdoors. Those, the backdoors, are usually from plugins and that’s how hackers get into sites is because users/owners let them expire and forget to update them. It’s like leaving your front door open.

You can be assure that anything ending in .ru is from a russian hacker.

    Sidenote to @stefsternnyc

Please do not use phrases like “A security consultant like me…” as that might suggest to some that they hire you to fix their site. While you may not be implying an offer, some may infer it. As that’s not permitted on the forums, best just to stay away from such phrasing.
