• Hello,

We just noticed that the mobile version of our website is having issues and I think it may be connected to this plugin. While the page loads, key elements of our header, footer, menu bar, and a few links never show up. I’ve cleared the cache for this plugin and it’s helped slightly, but only with the header, which is now loading. This seems to be an issue on only some of our pages and not all. For example, our homepage and online events calendar aren’t loading properly, but the webstore and about us page are. Can someone help solve this problem?

  • I have this same issue! Did you manage to get it sorted?

    Hi @carodavies
Yes, I solved it by disabling the plug in! It seemed like the only way to make our page work properly again. A bummer, because this plugin certainly helped with load times once we used it. But, not doing much help if our site won’t load correctly! I wish one of the plug-in developers would actually jump on here to help so many of us with this issue.

Do you use a special theme mobile visitors? If not, there are just a couple of options that may work differently in desktop and mobile version: “Minify CSS Method” (in the case of RESS minifier used) and “Scale large images”. Try to set the former to “CSS Tidy” or “None”, and the latter to “None”.

Hi Denis, my menu works perfectly after I’ve cleared the cache, then the next day the ‘burger’ menu icon has vanished and is replaced by a small rectangle. This has happened a few times now. Would the method you’ve described work to solve this?

I really don’t want to disable your plugin but the mobile menu just isn’t working correctly! Please could you advise? 🙂 Thank you

@carodavies I guess it may be related to the Above-the-fold CSS. Try to disable it (in the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” section of Advanced settings tab).

There’s a double menu, I wondered if it had anything to do with that. One above header and one below. But I’ll try out your suggestion. Thanks ever so much for replying! I’ll let you know how I get on 🙂

Denis, I just checked and Above-the-fold CSS
    Above-the-fold CSS cookie and
Local above-the-fold generation were all switched to green. I have switched them off — but there is a tab that says ‘Auto update Above-the-fold CSS’ — should I also switch this off? It’s currently green.

Switching off “Above-the-fold CSS” disabled other related options automatically.

And it was just a guess. I frequently see templates with dynamically-generated CSS styles on the page, and they conflict with the “Above-the-fold CSS” feature. Not sure it’s your case, but symptom—incorrect styles of the top part of the page—is very similar.
