    Hey,

I’m interested in buying the pro version but only if this things work good, will you please have a look and tell me if this is going to be changed or if fixes will be added anytime soon?

    1) it’s very hard to see/read icons on mobile until you click play than it shows native video player but buttons don’t function properly..
    2) on mobile the player will not start the next video unless you press play…
    3) Can you add video and music in the same player? if not why?
    4) Can’t I add YouTube videos? or from any other source?

    Thank you!

    Hello @webzzz

Q: it’s very hard to see/read icons on mobile until you click play than it shows native video player but buttons don’t function properly.

A: Could you let me know where are you testing the player, and the device you are using, please? The players should use controls in the plugin, even in mobiles devices.

Q: on mobile the player will not start the next video unless you press play…

A: The player included by our plugin runs in the browsers, and the some of mobiles versions of browsers have remove the auto-play capacity in audio or video tags, they require a direct action by the user, and playing the next video or audio in the playlist would be the same that an auto-play (There are additional details in the Safari IOS documentation).

Q: Can you add video and music in the same player? if not why?

A: No, in the current version of the plugin you cannot include audio and video files in a same player, you should create two separated players, because they use different html tags <audio> and <video>

Q: Can’t I add YouTube videos? or from any other source?

A: You can include videos from YouTube, but for the other sources, would be possible only if you have a direct access to the video files.

In any case, I recommend you to install first the free version of the plugin, to be sure that our plugin satisfies your project’s requirements, before upgrade to the professional version.

    Best regards.

    Hello @webzzz

I’ve tested the player just now, using an iPad and a Smartphone with Android, and in both devices the players were loaded with the controls in the plugin. Please, look the screenshots below:

    iPad:

    Android:

Could you send me the URL to the page where is published the player you are testing, please?

    Best regards.

    Hey,

    Sorry for the delay.

The test link I used is: http://demos.net-factor.com/audio-and-video/
I open it in few browsers, with same results.
iPhone 5se & iPhone x, once you click on the player to play it will open the video with the native video player with native controls, don’t misunderstand me in my opinion it’s better as it’s more familiar, but as to why it’s happening I have no idea.

    Hello @webzzz

Our plugin is based on the MediaElement.JS library distributed with WordPress, and yes, at least with the videos, iPhone force the use of its own controls, but with audio players the controls used are those of the plugin. In the iPad is different, the controls used in both Audio and Video players are always those of the plugin.

    Best regards.
