Hello, I would like to know if there is a workaround to be able to let someone pinch zoom on an image (such as a floorplan) without triggering the light box window to pop up. I purchased the plugin, and am now getting negative feedback because of the inability to zoom in on an image that has been mapped. Maybe there is a way to have the plugin differentiate between a pinch zoom and a tap (click).

    Thank you for your support.

Hi Daniel, right now there isn’t a way to pinch/zoom an image on mobile without triggering the lightbox. We’ve spent a lot of time working with the different mobile devices, browsers, and touch events. Basically there are a lot of tradeoffs and limitations to keep it working well on all devices. Based on the different touch events available and when they fire, we had to choose to either: require 2 taps on mobile (one for hovering/coloring and for clicking) or have areas select/click immediately on tap. We chose the latter as the lesser of two evils. Especially since lightboxes often behave strangely when pinched/zoomed in on mobile phones.

Sorry that’s probably not the answer you’re looking for! We’ve seen some customers break up larger images into multiple images (linked from a master image). There’s an example here: http://laltitude.ca/les-plans/ – where clicking on a floor links you to another draw attention image that’s zoomed in or provides more detail.

Depending on your image and use case, that might serve as a workaround. Hope that helps!
