Mobile menu button not showing TwentyTwelve

First of all, thanks to all you helpers out here in the forum, you saved me so many hours earlier!!

But I have one problem still, I edited the theme so much that I for my life can’t figure out where to get back to a responsive menu. I tried to roll back code from the parent theme but my skills are lacking in what code I should edit.

I want the menu to switch to the menu button when its displayed on a mobile device, not as it is now when the header logo overlapse the menu text. Earlier I did have the mobile menu button but then it was always expanded and showing all the pages as text links.
