In the “Additional CSS” section of the dashboard add this:
.colors-custom .main-navigation li {
border: 0;
}
https://codex.wordpress.org/CSS#Custom_CSS_in_WordPress
Thank you. I removed the code that put bottom borders on sub-menu items and did `.colors-custom .main-navigation li {
border-color:#3b8cae;
}`
That put bottom borders on top level items so all that is fine and the light colored lines are gone. Now I have one light colored bottom border on the mobile menu just below “Menu” bar when the menu is opened.
Thanks again,
dennis

That did it! Thanks so much for your help and your effort supporting “twenty seventeen”.
Much appreciated.
